This is my feeling about the interesting story about a little girl vampire name Elsie that lives in a basement in Pittsburgh. She 134 year old that looks like a 9 year little girl. I enjoy the being or the story of the vampire going into a convenient store picking up a few items. When ready to check out she ask the clerk for a pack of cigarettes . The check smile at her and said right then he sack up her items . Before the vampire leaves the convenient store she tack up a a piece of paper on the convenient store bullet board looking for a babysitter. Then she leave the store.
The next unique part of the this story is when Brenda when into the convenient store to get some snacks when she saw the baby sitter sign on the bullet board .She when home and called the number. Elsie answer her phone and told Brenda to come to her apartment and they talk about what is expected for Brenda. When Brenda get to Elsie apartment Elsie is sitting on her couch with a three ring binder on her lap with questions to grill Brenda with. After Elsie done grilling Brenda Elsie let Brenda know she is a vampire. Brenda laugh till Elsie show her to the bathroom and there human bodies hang upside down being bleed out for Elsie next meal.
The next part of the story that made me laugh out loud and made me feel good was when Brenda took Elsie to the mall. When Elsie walk into the mall she age like a little 9 year little girl.
Brenda took Elsie to different stores like Gap,Tape World. Elsie and Brenda had fun and enjoy their shopping trip in the mall till Amber and her ladies posse ruin their fun by putting down Brenda .Elsie bites Amber the neck to make Brenda to feel better and to shut up Amber.
Later that night Elsie and Brenda took Amber to the park and dropped her unconscious body on a park bench. Then Brenda took Elsie back to her apartment before the sun rise. As they look at each other they, felt and friend bond between them. Before Brenda left she promised Elsie that she will be her babysitter and take her out to all the places she wanted to go.
With final thoughts the whole story is well written and reminds me of the movie and book let the right one in. Great graphic novel!
