This was a very unique look at the Incredible Hulk and Bruce Banner. The Hulk and Banner are getting along better in this story. Bruce’s mind is in control of the Maestro body but the Maestro personality is still inside Bruce’s mind too.
This book shows that world has had one too many wars and that things are not like they used to be. The Maestro is now the ruler of parts of the world and he has plans to take over the rest.
In this book The Maestro is still looking out for people but he also still scaring people too. The people still see the monster and not the man inside the beast. As he takes care of the people under his care there are groups of people that see him as a threat to world and will work with evil people to stop The Maestro.
I did find it interesting that the group that wanted to stop The Maestro’s plans use parts of Bruce’s past to try to get him under control and undo the plans he had put in place. I enjoyed the idea that even though someone is trying help out and do the right things there is always some group that will try to show that what you are doing is wrong.
