Giant Days Volume 1 Review

I really enjoyed Volume One of this Collection.

This volume shows a unique view of the college life of these characters. I like how in the first few pages of the book they quickly establish the basic relationship between Daisy, Esther, Susan, Ed, & Graham.

I would put this graphic novel seriously in my “Comfort” graphic novel Collection. These stories have helped me feel better when I am feel sad, depressed, or when I’m feeling that the whole world is against me. I am glad I was recommended the series by Sam, who works at More Fun Comics and Games in Denton, Texas.

One of my favorite chapters from this book is when Daisy, Esther, & Susan all get sick and they all try different ways to get over their cold. Daisy took organic fruit pills, Esther got help for a magic drink from some gothic group, and Susan got her prescriptions and gave up smoking. I just found it fun and interesting seeing the different ways the girls tried to get over their cold.

This graphic novel is full of funny moments and life lessons, and over all is Gina great read.
