These two graphic novels were full of happiness, joy, and twists.
Daisy, Esther, & Susan’s lives started to have some unique twists in these graphic novels.
In graphic novel 7, I enjoyed when Daisy, Esther, & Susan go to see their families for the Christmas holiday. When Susan arrives at her home she sees her mom spying on her dad in the backyard. She sees that her dad is living in a RV in the backyard. She finds out that her Mom and Dad are having marriage troubles. Then later on Susan see that her sisters were too busy with their own lives and did not really care.
Susan made a choice to do her best to bring Holiday cheer to her family, and to remind her mom, dad, sisters, & the rest of her family of all their happy times. At the end of the holiday, Susan felt much closer to her family.
In graphic novel Vol. 8, Chapter 22 the story started to get really funny. Esther tried to take a shower, and the water that came out of the shower was red rusted water. She thought that it was blood. She ran out through the living room just wearing a skull towel, yelling “BLOOD!!!!” Susan figured out that the pipe had rust in it. After that little odd moment, Susan and Graham started to check around the house, and they found that the wooden stairs had wood worms. Susan got a hold of the landlord, and he took care of the house troubles. After the house troubles were fixed, Graham and Susan sat in some comfortable chairs and read the newspaper.
As all that was going on, Daisy and her girlfriend Ingrid were hanging out. Ingrid introduced Daisy to her new friends at a pub. Then they went to a closes down building that Ingrid’s friends had turned into a cheap apartment. They used the place to play hoops, hang out, and do drugs. Daisy did not feel welcome there.
This volume showed that you never know what life might throw at you. So just remember to watch out for those curve balls!
