ECHO - REVIEW

This was a very much an emotional ride of a story. This story begins with the old line about being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Julie is taking desert photographs when she witnesses an explosion in the sky, from an experimental battle suit. A strange living metal rains down on Julie and embeds itself onto her body. She soon discovers that the metal is also imprinted with the personality of its former owner, Annie. I enjoyed the strange moments and odd powers from the living metal that changes that Julie’s life, and how she must learn to cope with Annie’s personality echoing in her mind.

I feel that the story was full of surprises. Everything that could go wrong seemed to go wrong for the characters. I enjoyed watching this small group of people do their best to find out what happened, find out who made the living metal, and fight to regain their normal lives again.

A touching moment is this book was when Julie hugged the daughter of Ivy. Ivy’s daughter was hurt in a huge accident that the government had their hands in. As Julie hugs the little girl and the spirit of Annie tries to do something to help Ivy’s daughter, a miracle happened. The little girl was fully healed, and with a smile she ran to her mother and the two of them shared a HUGE HUG!!!

That was very heart warming moment in the book.

Terry Moore has more books that are out and that follow these characters throughout this long series. This book is the second book in this series, following Strangers in Paradise, and preceding Rachel Rising.
