This was a unique look into the early story of Cruella’s life. This book lays the foundation for how Cruella became who she is now. This book shows that Estella had Cruella inside her all the time but she tried to not let her out. Cruella starts coming out and being more showy, and that makes Estella not sure if it was her true self showing after all.
This book is a very good compliment to all of the other portrayals of Cruella that have been shown through the years. Each version of Cruella that has been shown over time have made their own mark in our world and each Cruella is more unique and special each time she pops up in our world.
This version of Cruella is made for our times. She knows how to make a point and stand out without hurting the people who don’t deserve it. She has to help out some of the weaker people and she does it while making it looking fabulous!
I am looking forward to watching the movie on Disney+. I know when I watch the movie, having read this book beforehand will make the movie even more special.
