Batman: One Dark Knight Review 11/10/22

I first want to say about the graphic novel that only had three issues in it . In my opinion, this book had one of most powerful stories in it for some time that I have read. I enjoyed that this book was in magazine size with word bubbles and contained bigger text than normal graphic novels. I love to read but it can be a struggle at times because I can only see from my right eye.

This is definitely one of the darkest stories to come out of this franchise. In the story, Batman is assisting in transporting an inmate from Arkham Asylum across Gotham to Black Gate Isle. The inmates name is E.M.P. He is able to pull power or energy from things around him. The inmate is being transferred because he needs to be in a place where he can better control his powers. Before Batman can safely transport E.M.P out of the area his power builds and he causes a total blackout in Gotham. The Batman know to get Edward to Black Gate Isle he had to do it hard way. There were a lot of obstacles but Batman persevered and fulfilled his mission.

An interesting character is Rita Vasquez. She is the head of the prison bureau and is the one who decided to transfer E. M. P. In my opinion she is power hungry and expected everyone to follow her rules. If you don’t, then there are consequences.

This book is full of how the Batman will not stop till he get his mission done as he deals with all the troubles that try to stop him.

I really enjoy this story.
